What RoRo means
Roll-on/Roll-off shipping uses a vessel designed to load and unload wheeled cargo. Eligible vehicles are moved onto the ship under the operator’s rules rather than packed inside a shipping container.
Availability depends on the carrier, route, vehicle and current schedule. DAKREZT can review whether RoRo is an option for your Nigeria-bound shipment.
Eligibility before booking
Tell DAKREZT whether the vehicle starts, steers and brakes. Disclose damage, fluid leaks, missing keys, modifications and dimensions. A running engine alone does not confirm carrier acceptance.
Non-running vehicles may need different equipment or a container alternative. Do not buy a damaged vehicle on the assumption that every RoRo carrier will accept it.
Preparation and destination charges
Remove valuables and unauthorized personal belongings. Confirm fuel level, key handover and battery requirements with the selected carrier. Photograph the vehicle before collection and keep a condition record.
Ask which pickup, port, ocean and destination charges are included. Confirm the arrival port, documentation, consignee responsibilities and clearance arrangements before shipping.
